Somalia…..Somalia
Support her, Oh Muslims!

Ethiopia has pushed it army and air forces for a criminal assault upon Muslims in Somalia. In fact it has only made public its attack; it was already carrying it on without admitting it as such. However it’s excuse for this attack is that the assault is self defence! That is defending Ethiopia….. from whom? Somalia!!

The continuing war in Somalia is becoming intense. This war is between the Ethiopian forces that are heavily armed, internationally supported by America politically as well as militarily and regionally supported by the US agents in Africa, on one side and the Muslims of Somalia under the leadership of the still nascent Islamic Courts; while the rulers in the Muslim lands have quietly shut their mouths and are a mute and deaf witness this. This was as if this is happening in some distant place and not in the heartland of the Muslim world with a shining past and is strategically vital. This is where a group of the Companions of the Prophet (saw) had migrated to Habashah during the early stages of the Islamic da’wah from Makkah. This land was later captured in the year 77 A.H during the caliphate of Abdul Malik and remained a part of the Islamic lands along with other Muslin lands, especially with Yemen which is just across the straight of Aden. It was then the target of the kafir colonialists during the end of the Ottoman Caliphate (Uthmani Khilafah), just like the other Muslim lands.

Oh Muslims! The United States and its pawns in the African continent, led by the Ethiopian regime, were shocked to see the Muslims of Somalia rally around the Islamic courts and feared that this force could unite Somalia in the name of Islam! And consequently, their designs in the region could be doomed.

Ethiopia has already two Somalian districts of Oghadin and Houd under its occupation, and is afraid that any strong and stable regime in Somalia, specially one that unites the people in the name of Islam, and can stir up the issue of the two districts, both politically and militarily to reunite them with the Somalian motherland.

As for the United States, it still yearns for the years when its writ ran in Somalia and it was able to pilfer it as it wished during the reign of Siad Berri and continued till the tribal uprising in 1991 C.E, which settled the British-American tussle in Somalia in favour of Britain and resulted in the ouster of Siad Berri. America then lost its influence in Somalia and the regime further messed up.

Britain then moved fast to regain its previous status (the British Somalia) and announced the formation of a separate Democratic Somalia in the same year i.e. 1991 C.E, leaving the rest of the land and its people in tatters.

The United States then attempted to regain its influence again in 1992 C.E through the Humanitarian delegations under the auspices of the ‘Hope Again’ project, for which they allocated some 28 thousand soldiers, but it backfired in the year 1995 resulting in humiliation for the US.

In spite of this, the US did not give up its obsession of hegemony and influence in the African continent and worked for the failure of the Djibouti Accord of 2000 by forming the regime of Abdel Qassim Sallad, because the treaty was sponsored by Europe which had backed Djibouti of the previous French Somalia. It also worked against the Democratic state of Somalia (Previously the British Somalia). When America succeeded in dismantling Somalia, it conspired to regroup its agents in the region and succeeded in carving the Nairobi Accord in late 2004 C.E by forming the temporary regime of its agent Abdullah Yousef who was the president of the separated small state of Pontland which was announced in Somalia in the year 1997 C.E. It then started to present this regime as the formal Somalian government and sought membership in the regional alliances such as the Organisation of African Unity (the OAU) and the Arab League and internationally in the United Nations Organisation. At the same time it continued to support the leaders of the militias of Mogadishu, in its attempt to secure its interests in two parallel tracks: supporting the temporary regime politically and the militia warlords militarily. The rottenness of this corrupt temporary Somali regime lies in its keenness to nurture the US and Ethiopia, while the consistent tussle between the warlords results in destroying of men and materials; this has made the people think as to who can save them from this quagmire. Thus when the militias, with backing of the US started to destroy their lives, the people rallied around the Islamic Courts and were victorious. They were attracted towards the Islamic Courts because they knew that these courts have been solving their problems sincerely right from 1994 C.E when there was no established authority and the people have seen the devotion and dedication of these courts towards Islam. The bond between the people and the Islamic Courts was mutual and Allah (swt) gave them victory over the warlords who panicked and disintegrated. America did nothing to save the warlords and the people rallied around the courts in the cities and villages even before the officials from the courts approached them!

America them resorted to its weapons: deceptive negotiations and armed terrorism to establish its influence in Somalia. As for the so-called negotiations, it delegated this task to Sudan, which attempted to consolidate these courts and integrate them with the temporary regime in Khartoum to negotiate and propose compromises, with the intention of breathing new life in the almost dead temporary regime which is not able to provide security to its own headquarters (Bedawa) on its own and has been discarded by the people. The real intentions of these negotiations was to reduce the Islamic Courts as just another local force like the Somaliland the Pontland and the Jubaland, which then the temporary regime could have its grip over them!

As for its second weapon i.e. the armed terrorism, the United States delegated this task to Ethiopia to intervene militarily in support of the temporary regime and against the Islamic Courts, which had already been started and now it has only been announced formally.

Oh Muslims! The war in Somalia is nothing but bloodshed between the Muslims in Somalia and the Kafir Ethiopia which has been fully supported by America which has planned and supported this war for three reasons:

First: The people of Somalia are Muslims who love their deen and desire to unite under the banner of Islam under the leadership of the Islamic Courts; while the US fights any force or movement that gravitates towards Islam wherever it be in the world. America detests Islam and its people especially if they are loyal to any other brand of Islam and not subscribe to what it calls ‘the moderate Islam’; as if Islam can be moderate and non-moderate. Allah's Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth!

Secondly: Somalia occupies a very strategic position along the Indian Ocean and has the longest coastline in Africa running 2720 Kms (1700 miles). Somalia has two stretches of coastline, one running along the Indian Ocean to the east and another running to its northern side along the Gulf of Aden towards the Bab el Mandeb and the Red Sea. Thus Somalia is vitally and strategically placed which can be considered as the gateway to the Southern Africa as well as the Arabian Peninsula and used for controlling them.

Third: Somalia is very rich in resources. The studies conducted in Somalia indicate this, sediments of Uranium, natural gas, oil etc. In the late eighties, during the regime of Siad Berri, exploiting rights over two-thirds of the Somali resources were given to American oil companies Conco, Amoco, Chevron and Phillips for oil drilling. Oil was discovered in the first nine wells which have been confirmed by the World Bank geologists. But the revolution which toppled Siad Berri has also resulted in ceasing of works on these wells as well. The United States in now very patiently trying to get its hold on this wealth.

Oh Muslims! The United States sees itself as the deciding voice of the world and considers itself the sole owner of any wealth either deep in the land or over it. It has been blinded by the arrogance of its might from contemplating on the reasons for the chain of failures right from Vietnam to Afghanistan, then Iraq and Somalia in 1995. America is still looking for places to compensate for these losses and humiliation that it suffered. It believes that its agent Ethiopian regime will restore a sizable part of that. Especially because the Islamic Courts are still an emerging force and are no match to the heavily armed forces and destructive air force of the Ethiopians, either in manpower or resources. Despite the heavy odds, the Muslims and the Islamic Courts men have displayed exceptional courage in the face of the criminal and destructive forces. This has been the hallmark of the Muslim forces fighting the kafir and munafiqeen forces. But the failure of other Muslims from helping and aiding their brethern actually emboldens the kufr and its people from attacking Muslim lands one after another. This failure on the part of Muslims to come to the rescue of their brothers neither gains us the pleasure of Allah (swt), or the pleasure of His Messenger (saw) or the mu’mineen (believers). We as an Ummah are one nation, one body which has been described by the Prophet (saw) as:

«كالجسد الواحد إذا اشتكى منه عضو تداعى له سائر الجسد بالحمى والسهر»
“As a single physical body, when one of its organs is in pain, the entire body cries out in fever and restlessness.”

There is no doubt that America and Ethiopia are the warring parties, and it becomes incumbent upon the regimes in the Muslim lands to deal with them as such. This calls for having only war relations with them and no other, they must cease any diplomatic ties with such countries - with no embassies, no treaties and no friendship with them. Otherwise our fate will be none other than that of those who violated the commands of their Lord: Humiliation and disgrace in this world and severe punishment in the hereafter.

Oh Muslims! 000 000 seeks to revive your determination and zeal to come to the rescue of Somalia, which is an obligation from Allah (swt), therefore fulfill the obligation:

وَإِنِ اسْتَنْصَرُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ فَعَلَيْكُمُ النَّصْرُ
“But if they seek your help in religion, it is your duty….” [TMQ Al-Anfal-72]

Therefore Oh Muslims! Come to their help.

It is therefore incumbent upon the countries in the Muslim lands neighbouring Somalia and those near it i.e. Egypt, Sudan, Djibouti, Eritrea, Yemen and Saudi Arabia etc. to help Somalia materially and by moving their forces with all their arms and weapons to assist Somalia.

إِلاَّ تَنْفِرُوا يُعَذِّبْكُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا وَيَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ وَلاَ تَضُرُّوهُ شَيْئًا
“If you march not forth, He will punish you with a painful torment and will replace you by another people, and you cannot harm Him at all.” [TMQ 09:39]

The Muslims who are in a minority in kufr countries, especially Ethiopia must group themselves, both materially and morally, as an effective pressurizing force to dissuade these countries from carrying out the massacre in Somalia. The Muslims in Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania are in a position to undertake such an effective task in support of Somalia by pressurising these countries.

At the same time it is the duty of all the countries of the Muslim lands to severe all relations with the United States and Ethiopia; be they diplomatic relations, oil deals, trade or treaties and deal with them as they would deal with countries that wage wars with them!

In this message, we do not trust the rulers of the Muslim countries as they follow those who do not hold the Muslims dear, but we seek to revive the Ummah and its enthusiasm. The soldiers of the Muslim countries are the sons of the Ummah, whenever it has affected seriously, the sons of the Ummah have responded and helped their brothers and dealt with those that stood in its path.

وَلَيَنْصُرَنَّ اللَّهُ مَنْ يَنْصُرُهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَقَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ
“Verily, Allah will help those who help His (Cause). Truly, Allah is All-Strong, All-Mighty.” [TMQ: Al Hajj: 40]
